The Kewanee Chamber of Commerce is an action association designed to meet both business and community needs.
It is a voluntary organization made up of small and large businesses, professionals and interested individuals who join together to advance the interest of the community.
It also serves as a legislative representative, an information bureau and a business resource tool. From working to boost the local economy, to improving the quality of life through sponsoring special events, the Chamber makes a difference in the community.
As an information resource, the Chamber office fields calls for a variety of request. From out of towners asking for information about special events or needing assistance in doing genealogical research to businesses considering relocating to the Kewanee area, the Chamber provides up to date census, economic and retail information when needed.
As a business agent, the Chamber works to recruit business enterprises and industries to the area to help create more job opportunities. In addition, they are consistently involved with existing businesses as a public relations and problem solving agent. The office conducts surveys, and has access to market studies as well as sales analysis, labor market statistics and more.
