AGRICULTURE

Agriculture in the rich farm land of Henry, Stark and Bureau Counties surrounding Kewanee is an important factor in our economy. Both grain and livestock production are prevalent in our area. However, it is the latter for which we are better known. In fact, in hog production, we can proudly boast we are the "Hog Capital of the World".

Our downtown shopping experience has been enhanced by our recent beautification program. Landscaping, pedestrian ramps and benches were added to make your shopping convenient, safe and relaxing. Kewanee also hosts a Walmart Superstore and the Midland Plaza strip mall on the southend of town.
